Content scheduling
Tractor exercises and water and soil samples in groups in September. In October and in November farm animals. In October, the student looks for a livestock farm for a practical work session. The practical work period is in December
Objective
Purpose of the course
After completing this course, you will know the practical operation of the animal farm and you have learned basic tractor technology and driving. You can take water and soil samples for analysis.

Learning outcomes
After completing the course you will be able to work with farm animals. You are able to observe different feeds and know how they affect the welfare and yield of farm animals. You can use the tractor to help with daily farm animal care. You can take water and soil samples for analysis.
Content
Daily care of farm animals: feeding, feed handling, farm cleaning, hygiene. Safe operation of tractor and implements: driving a tractor, securing implements both front and rear, three-point attachment, driving and reversing with a trailer.
Practical sampling of water and soil.
Reportage.
Teaching methods
Tractor driving training under supervision. Student gets acquainted with farm animals. Operation of wetlands and taking soil samples under supervision. Practical period of work on the livestock farm. Reporting independently according to the instructions given.

Student workload
Practical exercises: tractor and machine exercises 16 h, water and soil sampling and rotation test 4 h , practical work on the farm 81 h.
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
The student performs a specific display of driving a tractor and attaching a machine.
The student participates in guided water and soil sampling.
The student completes a practical work period on the animal farm.
The student has returned reports of water and soil samples and a practical work period at the farm.
