Purpose of the course
After completing the course, you will have an overall picture of the importance of the bioeconomy in Finland. You understand the concept bioeconomy and the importance of agricultural and forestry production in biomass production. You have become familiar with the importance of energy and water production in a rural operating environment. You have become familiar with megatrends and forecasting.

You have developed an overall understanding of the history, current state and future of the bioeconomy in Finland. You know the central biomass resources of the country and their forms of use. You know how to interpret megatrends from the point of view of the bioeconomy and you understand the possibilities of future research and forecasting
