Objective
After completing the course, you understand what the concepts software, software service, service infrastructure and different integrations mean and how different parts form information systems. You learn what the life cycle of an information system means and how it must be taken into account in the maintenance and further development of information systems. You can describe and document the architecture of a simple information system using a suitable description method. You also familiarize yourself briefly with the economic perspective and overall architectural thinking.
EUR-ACE Knowledge and understanding
You can explain and identify the main components needed to implement information systems. You know the basic principles of system integrations. You understand the importance of information system architecture from the point of view of maintenance and further development.
EUR-ACE Engineering practice
You know how to describe and document a simple information system architecture using suitable methods and tools.
Content
In this course you will learn about the concepts of software, software service, service infrastructure and integrations. You will understand how different components make up a functioning information system and what the information system life cycle means in terms of maintenance and further development. You will learn how to describe and document a simple information system architecture in an appropriate way. You will also learn about the business perspective and overall architectural thinking, which will give you a broader understanding of information systems management.
