Objective

The object of the course
After completing this course, you will have comprehensive understanding of leadership and management. The purpose is to provoke interest towards leadership and management studies and leadership work.

Course competences
Business Competence: The student has a broad-based understanding of the business (marketing, services, management, finances, law, etc.). The student knows the central theories related to this specialization option. The student possess at least an advanced beginner's skills in the practical tasks of the specialization option.
Learning to learn: Student assesses and develops his/her competence and learning methods in different learning environments.

You are familiar with theories of leadership and future leadership trends. You recognise your capabilities and motivation for leadership work. You take responsibility for your own working. Learning is guided both personally and in groups during the course classroom sessions and in the web-based learning environment. Constructive feedback will be given both as teacher feedback and as student peer feedback with regard to the learning diary and theme-specific learning assignments. Group feedback will be given during classroom sessions.
At the end of the course, personal feedback will be given on the personal learning assignment in connection with the assessment.
