Objective

The student is familiar with the basics of mechanical drawing and is able to draw the different projections and various cutaway diagrams of an item using a computer.
EA-EE EUR-ACE: Engineering design.
The student is able to produce work drawings using a CAD system.
TKNSU: Competence in design: Students are able to draw drafts and copy ready-made drawings.
YHTTY: The course prepares the students for assisting in design tasks.
YHTVI: Communication skills: Students are able to attach drawings and technical documents to their assignments and theses.

The study material has been published on the Moodle learning platform, where you can find video materials in Finnish.

Teaching methods

The course is studied independently. The use of the program and the learning assignments are instructed by videos. Learning assignments are returned to the learning platform.

Independent work 27 hours.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Correctly drawn projections and cutaway diagrams of the source material and their dimensioning. Handing in assignments.

The course is part of a larger entity, TKKP0300 Technical drawing and CAD, and it cannot be studied as an optional course if the course in question is a compulsory course.
