Objective
The student knows the significance of organic production in Finland and in the EU, as well as the prerequisites for production. The student is able to make a plan for the transitional stage of a company initiating organic production. They know how to organize field cultivation on an organic production farm.

Teaching methods
This is a multimode implementation, so the emphasis is on independent study. In the learning environment, students study using video lectures, videos and written material. The student receives feedback on each completed assignment.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed
The student knows the requirements of organic production compared to conventional production and is able to evaluate the possibilities of their own farm or model space to switch to organic production for crop farming .
