Content scheduling

The tasks of the course are allocated during the common meeting breaks as per the schedule posted on Moodle.

Objective

You will develop the necessary writing skills for studies in a university of applied sciences. You will learn to benefit from the writing process in study tasks and to write common texts needed in your studies.

Your skills will develop by participating in coursework with Language Centre communication teachers (contact and online) and by completing the necessary tasks.

You are able to write mainly logical text and the content is understandable to the reader. The characteristics of acceptable text are:
- The main content of the text appears relatively clear and understandable to the reader
- The text basically progresses in a logical manner
- The language of the text is quite good so that spelling mistakes do not significantly hinder the understanding of the text
- Illustration is appropriate for the purpose
- The appearance and citation techniques are basically in accordance with the instructions

You will learn to benefit from the contents of the writing process and formal writing. You will learn to adapt the writing process in your learning. You will identify the most common text types of your studies and the characteristics of formal writing. You will learn to write in a formal style by citing, reporting and taking advantage of external source

Guiding Webinars / Workshops

- Orientation session will be conducted on Zoom on Tuesday, 14.1. from 4 to 6 pm.
- Common meetings according to the schedule on Zoom on Tuesdays from 4 pm to 6 pm in addition to independent study.

The learning platform for this course is Moodle, which will be accessible when the course begins. Teaching sessions will be conducted via Zoom, and the link will be provided on Moodle.

1. Myself as a writer (individual assignment)
2. Approaches to starting (individual assignment)
3. Commented abstract (pair and individual assignment)
4. Report (individual assignment)
