After completing the course, you will understand the history of midwifery and be able to justify its significance for midwifery and its development.

You know and know how to justify the ethical principles, norms and legislation that guide midwifery.

You understand and are able to analyze the importance of independent, evidence-based decision-making in midwifery.

After completing the course, you will understand the history of midwifery and be able to justify its significance for midwifery and its development.
You know and know how to justify the ethical principles, norms and legislation that guide midwifery.
You know and know how to analyze the skills required for midwifery and you can critically examine your own skills and develop yourself professionally
You will understand and be able to analyze the importance of independent, evidence-based decision-making in midwifery

Qualifications

The student masters the contents of anatomy and physiology as well as pharmacology and medicine related to the above mentioned nursing studies.
The student masters the methods of health promotion, internal medicine, mental health, substance abuse and crisis management, acute, operative nursing, family and pediatric nursing.
The student knows the principles of evidence-based decision making.

Further information

During the course, assessment is carried out on the principle of continuous feedback. Self-assessment and peer review also play a key role. Assessment is based on the course objectives and assessment criteria.
