Content scheduling

During the course, theme-specific introductions, independent and group study will alternate.
Additionally, personal learning assignments will be completed throughout the duration of the course.

Attendees will be checked within three weeks of the start of the implementation, and securing a study place on the course requires approved completion of the orientation assignment.

Objective

The object of the course
Supervisory work and team leadership involve a wide range of situations in which it is necessary to be able to act in accordance with the principles of good human resource management, engage the personnel and facilitate the development of operations in a goal-oriented manner using various methods. This course prepares students for these situations and familiarises students especially with the theme and tools of coaching leadership and team leadership.

Course competences
Business competence: The students know the central theories related to this specialisation option.
The students possess at least an advanced beginner’s skills in the practical tasks of the specialisation option.
Learning to learn: The student also takes responsibility for group learning and sharing what has been learned.
Operating in a workplace: The student is able to act professionally in communication and interaction situations at a workplace.
The student utilises the opportunities offered by technology and digitalisation in their work.
Ethics: The student takes others into account and promotes equality and non-discrimination.

You acquire practical skills and tools related to supervisory work and team leadership and understand the effects of different perspectives on the selection and use of tools. You understand the principles of coaching leadership and supervisory work and know the methods and tools of individual and team leadership. You are able to choose suitable tools to meet the needs of the situation and to act in a practical manner in different communication and interaction situations in working life. You understand the importance of well-being, equality and non-discrimination in work communities.

Learning is guided both personally and in groups during the course.

Exam schedules

There is no exam in the course.
Learning assignments must be completed and returned during the course in accordance with the course timetable.
Group discussions must be attended to during the course in accordance with the course timetable.

Deadline for returning the personal final assignment is on the beginning of December 2025. The exact schedule will be announced at the beginning of the course.

The retake of the personal final assignment is possible on 30.1.2026 and on 6.3.2026.

Satisfactory 2
You are able to apply tools related to supervisory work and team leadership in practice and understand the effects of different perspectives on the selection and use of tools. You are able to apply the principles of coaching leadership and supervisory work as well as the methods and tools of individual and team leadership. You are able to use suitable tools in different communication and interaction situations in working life. You understand the importance of well-being, equality and non-discrimination in work communities.

Good 3
You are able to analyse the suitability of tools related to supervisory work and team leadership and understand the effects of different perspectives on the selection and use of tools. You are able to analyse and apply the principles of coaching leadership and supervisory work as well as methods and tools for individual and team leadership. You are able to use suitable tools in different communication and interaction situations in working life and analyse the benefits and effects of their use. With your expertise, you promote well-being, equality and non-discrimination in work communities.

You are able to evaluate the suitability and effectiveness of tools related to supervisory work and team leadership from different perspectives.
