Objective

The aim of the course is to give you an understanding of the developmental psychology perspective on the human life course and its different stages. You will learn how to support individual well-being and learning at different stages of the life course and how to identify protective and risk factors for individual development.

You are able to acquire, critically evaluate and appropriately apply the knowledge base in your field. You can also take responsibility for team learning and sharing what you have learned.

You will identify and be able to assess the risk and protective factors of an individual's well-being at different stages of life. You are able to apply developmental psychological knowledge in the social and educational field.

Content

The main content of the course is a developmental psychology perspective on the human life course and the different areas of development. Developmental theories and tasks in the life course. Protective and risk factors in the life course of an individual. Supporting individual well-being, growth, development and learning.

The course will take place in January-March 2025 as a face-to-face course and webinar

Further information

The overall assessment of the course consists of 60% marks for the independent assignment and 40% marks for the group assignment. The assignments include self-assessment
