Teaching methods
Schedule: 10 February 2025 - 29 April 2025 Jamk main campus
This is an intensive implementation: please check the timetable carefully. Attendance is compulsory. Missing more than 20% of the lessons will jeopardize your mark and your credits.
In addition to the meetings with the lecturer, the students will have assignments and homework that are to be completed independently and within the given schedule. Besides the meetings, please reserve 4-6 hours per week for the studies in this course.
The purpose of the course is to improve your knowledge in basic and intermediate grammar and vocabulary in everyday life, as well as give you confidence in spoken and written English.
During the course, you will refine your grammar and practice your spoken English through activities such as group discussions and text-based speaking activities. Writing texts, such as short essays, will also be included in your curriculum, and also a mid-course test and final exam.
The Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) or other plugins, for example Grammarly, is strictly limited for educational purposes. If used, the student must report it as instructed in the implementation.
Exam schedules
Mid-term test and final exam in class.
Two resit opportunities during the spring semester (final exam).
