Objective
Purpose of the course
During this course you will receive the skills for assessment of functioning.
Learning outcomes
You can study and analyze the preconditions and limitations of functioning, in particular the client’s mobility and related factors. Your assessment is based on ICF (International Classification of Functioning)
You can determine the results of the evaluations and the interpretations based on them in a meaningful and reliable manner.
You can document the functioning results using the structural documentation of physiotherapy. You know the possibilities of virtual guiding.

Content
Contents:
Assessment of functioning, performance and physical condition. Assessment of movement, balance, coordination and different postures. Assessment of nerve, muscle and joint function. Assessment of the respiratory and circulatory systems. Pain assessment. Special characteristics of different age groups in assessing the different aspects of functional capacity. Structural documentation of physiotherapy. Possibilities of virtual guiding.

You operate constructively in teams and groups. Your knowledge consists of isolated, although relevant, details. In the skills demonstration, your guidance and manual work are insecure and you have difficulties with drawing conclusions. Your self-evaluation and peer review is insufficient. In your written assignments, your information is isolated, although relevant. Reflection remains minimal. Your use of literature in the field is limited.
Satisfactory (2):
You operate constructively in teams and groups. Your knowledge consists of relevant details. In the skills demonstration, your guidance and manual work are mechanical and you are able to draw conclusions only on a general level. You evaluate yourself and your peers matter-of-factly. In your written assignments, your information is relevant, although declaratory in nature. You have summarised literature in the field and your reflection remains minimal.

Good (3):
You possess good knowledge and skills and are able to substantiate your actions. You seek to combine your knowledge and skills. You operate constructively in teams and groups. In the skills demonstration, your guidance and manual work are fluent and your conclusions are correct. You are able to assess your activities and those of your fellow students realistically. In your written assignments, you demonstrate an ability to describe and substantiate the subject area by making proper use of evidence-based sources. You try to take account client-centred capacity and circumstances.
Very good (4):
You possess extensive knowledge and skills and are able to substantiate your actions. You operate constructively in teams and groups. In the skills demonstration, your guidance and manual work are skillful and your conclusions are well-reasoned. You are capable of constructive self-evaluation and peer review. In your written assignments, you demonstrate an ability to describe and substantiate the subject area by making fluent and proper use of evidence-based sources. You are able to take account client-centred capacity and client´s functions in different environments.
