Objective

Objectives:

Understand the importance of scientific knowledge and data analysis in the social and health sector from a decision-making perspective.
You will be aware of the potential of digital technology and data in the development of teams, work communities and services.
You are familiar with some digital technology tools and have basic skills in ensuring data security.
You will identify the key features of digital security in your organisation and will be equipped with tools to develop digital security in your organisation.

Content

Take control of digital workplace management and digital skills in the social and health care sector!
Do you want to develop your skills in a digital work environment and learn how to use digital tools in the social care sector? This course will provide you with comprehensive knowledge and skills to help you succeed in your future working life.

Course content:

Leading a digital workplace (2 cr): learn how to lead and develop your workplace in a digital environment. You will be given practical tools and methods to improve your team's efficiency and collaboration.

Digital Expert Toolkit (2 cr): delve deeper into digital solutions and artificial intelligence in the health and social care sector, and learn how to use them in your work. This section provides you with concrete tools and best practices to support your daily work.

Cybersecurity and information security (1 cr): understand the basic principles of cybersecurity and information security and strengthen your cybersecurity skills. This section will equip you with the skills to identify and counter digital threats.

Student workload

The course is 5 credits, or 135 hours of student work. The workload is distributed as follows:

Managing a digital workplace (2 credits): you will learn how to manage and develop your workplace in a digital environment. You will gain practical tools and methods to improve the efficiency and collaboration of your team.

You will learn how to improve and develop your team's efficiency and effectiveness in your workplace. This section will provide you with concrete tools and best practices to support your daily work.

You will understand the basic principles of cybersecurity and information security and strengthen your cybersecurity skills. This section will equip you with the skills to identify and counter digital threats.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Approved
The student masters and is able to apply systemic management theories in practice in the digitalizing operating environment of the social and health care sector. They recognise the thinking related to changes in the digitalising operating environment. They are familiar with knowledge management theories and operating models. Students master some of the approaches, tools and practices of knowledge management. They have a vision of the significance of digital security in social and health services and are proficient in some tools that enable the development of information security in their own work community
