Objective
You will learn about basic electrical measurements and how to apply electrical engineering theory in practice by making various laboratory connections and measurements. You will learn the basics of electrical safety.
EUR-ACE ENGINEERING PRACTICE
You will be able to analyse DC and AC circuits, applying practice and theory by making measurements and interpreting the results. You will deepen your understanding of the various measurements of a three-phase system.
EUR-ACE INVESTIGATIONS
You will be able to design and carry out experimental investigations, interpret output data and results, assess the accuracy of measurements and work safely in an electrical laboratory environment. You will also be familiar with measurements related to the quality of electricity and lighting.
Content
In this course, you will learn the basics of electrical measurements and how to apply electrical engineering theory in practice through various laboratory setups and measurements. You will understand the fundamentals of electrical safety and be able to analyze direct and alternating current circuits through practical measurements. You will delve into three-phase system measurements and learn to design and conduct experimental studies. This course equips you with the necessary skills to work safely and effectively in an electrical laboratory.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed
You will know the basic calculation, connecting and measurement of connected 1 and 3 phase circuits. You have a good understanding of the terms and standards related to power, electricity and lighting quality. You know how to measure the basic parameters of a power system.

The assessment decision is based on the competence demonstrated in exercises and laboratory work. All tasks and laboratory work must have been completed successfully.
