Objective
The object of the course
The purpose of the course is to provide skills for strategy-based competence development as well as for creation of structures and tools for it. The student will be able to map organisational competencies and define competence goals. The student will be able to name competency gaps, identify development measures and tools, and conduct organisational competence development activities in practice.

You know the basic principles of competence management and the importance of competence mapping. You know the importance of competence development and development interviews in competence management. You know how to take responsibility for your own performance and to take others into account, and how to evaluate your learning. Working within given deadlines requires development.
Satisfactory 2
You understand the basic principles of competence management. You understand the importance of competence assessment. You understand the importance of competence development and development interviews in competence management. You can take responsibility for your own performance and share your learning with others. Your reporting is coherent, but has minor weaknesses in language and reporting guidelines. Working within given deadlines requires further development.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
Good 3
You understand the basic principles of competence management and the link to strategy, changes in working life, future competence requirements and organisational performance. You can develop a competency mapping, analyse skills gaps and develop a plan for skills development. Understand the importance of development discussions in managing competences. You can take responsibility for your own performance and share your learning with others. Your reporting is consistent, justified and in line with reporting guidelines, but with occasional errors. You are able to work within given deadlines.
Excellent 4
You master the basic principles of competence management. You understand the link between competence management and strategy, changes in the world of work, future competence requirements and organisational performance. You can develop a competence mapping, analyse competence gaps and develop a competence development plan. You will be able to integrate development discussions into the competence management process. You can take responsibility for your own actions, take account of others and critically evaluate what you have learned. Your reporting is consistent, convincing and follows reporting guidelines. You are able to work responsibly within given deadlines.

You will master the principles of competence management and the link to strategy, changes in the world of work, future competence requirements and organisational performance. You will have mastered the competence mapping process, be able to critically analyse competence gaps and develop a competence development plan using appropriate methods. You will be able to integrate development dialogue practices into the competence management process. You will be able to take responsibility for your own actions, take others into account and critically evaluate your learning. Your reporting is consistent, convincing, critical and follows reporting guidelines. You are able to work responsibly within given deadlines.
