-know how to choose cultivation procedures for different crops and know how to plan the plant production of the farm according to the production direction
Science and environmental competence
-able to apply biology, mathematics, chemistry and physics to applied tasks in rural industries
Sustainable development
-knows how to use knowledge related to one's field to search for, implement and establish sustainable solutions and operating models
Learning outcomes
After attending this course, you will understand the biological basis of organic crop production and know how to prepare a meaningful crop rotation for the farm in accordance with the organic production regulations. In addition to crop rotation, you will learn the basics of organic fertilization and plant protection. The course gives you the skills to become an organic farmer.

Teaching methods
This is a multimode implementation, so the emphasis is on independent study. In the learning environment, students study using video lectures, videos and written material. The student receives feedback on each completed assignment.
Completion alternatives
The course or part of it can be completed on the basis of previous competence or by studying in working life.
Student workload
Independent work 81 h
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
The student knows the regulations and principles of organic production. The student can prepare an organic farming plan either for his own farm or for a model farm. The cultivation plan must have a crop rotation, fertilization and plant protection plan in accordance with organic regulations.
Qualifications
Basic knowledge of arable farming is an advantage for the smooth completion of the course, but it is not necessary.
