Objective
The purpose of the course is to develop and strengthen your identity as a vocational teacher. You will set personal goals related to your teacher education and professional development. You will describe and demonstrate your personal theory-in-use, which has developed along your learning journey and forms the foundation of your teacher identity. You will be able to analyze and justify your actions as a teacher and assess the development of your own competence. In addition, you will learn to give and receive peer feedback.
Learning Objectives
In this course, you will develop your Vocational pedagogical competence, collaboration and networking competence, and interpersonal competence. You will be able to evaluate your pedagogical starting points and actions in the role of a vocational teacher. You will reflect on your competence development and set new goals for your professional growth as a teacher. In addition, you will learn to work constructively with your peers.

- You are familiar with the theoretical and ethical foundations of vocational learning.
- You are able to develop your own teaching field, taking into account the development of working life and professions.
- You are able to critically evaluate the foundations of your actions and justify your choices.

Content
Professional identity, teacherhood, agency, teacher’s theory-in-use, reflection, critical thinking and competence development, as well as peer collaboration and mentoring.

Teaching methods
Toteutus: monimuotototeutus (verkko-opiskelu, itsenäinen opiskelu, oppimispiirityöskentely). Osin itsenäisesti verkossa toteutettavia oppimistehtäviä, ohjauspäivät kasvotusten ja verkossa, lisäksi välitehtäviä ohjauspäivien välillä oman oppimispiirin kanssa.
