Objective

Course Purpose:
In this course, you will develop your competence in guiding the learning process by planning, implementing, and assessing an instructional unit that best promotes your pedagogical development. You will identify your personal theory-in-use related to learning guidance and apply it in your practice in diverse vocational learning environments with varied learners.

Vocational pedagogical competence
- You are familiar with the theoretical and ethical foundations of vocational learning.
- You are able to operate in diverse vocational teaching and guidance situations in line with learning goals and official curricular documents.
- You can analyze and justify your own actions in guiding learning.

Facilitation of learning competence
- You are able to plan and implement meaningful, learner-centered learning processes aligned with goals and curricular documents.
- You are familiar with various vocational learning environments and can operate in them pedagogically.
- You understand the goals and purposes of assessment as part of the learning process and can implement continuous, learning-supportive assessment.
- You understand the possibilities of digitalization in learning guidance and can evaluate the appropriateness of the solutions you use.

Assessment Criteria:
- Your practice is based on educational understanding of learning and its theoretical and ethical foundations.
- Your actions are grounded in Vocational pedagogical competence, and you guide learning in line with working life, professional requirements, and curricular documents.
- You justify your personal theory-in-use for guiding learning and act accordingly.

Facilitation of learning competence
Assessment Criteria:
- You design and implement pedagogically meaningful learning processes in diverse learning environments.
- You understand the significance of assessment in the learning process and can apply different assessment and feedback methods.
- You use digital tools in teaching and guidance in a purposeful way.
