The object of the course is that you understand the significance of business process management as a success factor for organizations and are able to develop business processes in a customer-oriented manner.

The learning objectives of the course
You acquire knowledge related to the management of business processes and recognize different kinds of theories and methods. You identify the company’s core processes and understand the impact of business process management on the performance and competitive position of the organization. You understand the economic, profitable and socially responsible aspects as well as the customer aspect of business processes. You recognize the impact of knowledge and new technologies on leadership that develops business processes.

Location and time

Opintojakso toteutetaan pääasiassa kontaktiopetuksena, mutta osa toteutuksista on webinaareja. Kontaktitoteutuksia on 10. Tarkempi toteutuksen jaksotus (kontakti/webinaari) ilmoitetaan Moodlessa vähintään viikkoa ennen opintojakson alkua.

Opintojaksolla toteutetaan ryhmätehtäviä, joiden teolle on varattu tietyt kontaktiopetustunnit. Näin ryhmien ei tarvitse etsiä tuntien ulkopuolista yhteistä aikaa. Näin ollen ryhmätehtävät edellyttävät osallistumista kontaktitunneille, joista osa toteutetaan webinaareina.

You are able to name perspectives related to the financial performance, profitability, social responsibility and customer orientation of business processes.
