Objective
The object of the course:
The student builds an overview of international sport marketing and management aspects in an multicultural study environment together with international study team.

Learning objectives of the course:
The aim for students participating in this short-term study abroad is to build an international network among other sport business students and academics and broaden student's understanding of international dimensions of sports. Main learnings concerns insights from international sport marketing cases discussing fan behavior, sponsorships, value co-creation in sports and sport events. Furthermore, students will practice sports innovations and marketing design through a case study and learn teamwork skills as a part of international study team.
Content
Short-term studies will take place in Madrid 11 - 15 May. Academic content is designed by Sports Management Academy Bayreuth (SMAB / University of Bayreuth). Addition to academic program short-term study trip includes visits to local sports companies, such as Microsoft Sports Innovation Center and stadiums of Madrid-based football clubs (Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid), as well as cultural activities with international students.

- International sport marketing and management
- Leadership in sport management
- Innovations in sport marketing and management
- Sponsorships as marketing strategy
- Modern sport marketing and consumer/fan behavior
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
Minimum criteria for student to pass this course
- get accepted result from the written exam during the last days of EASM Summer School. Exams are organized and evaluated by the academic coordinator.
- participation to the student case study work and presentations
- participation to EASM Summer School activities presented in the program
- creating a learning diary setting and reflecting personal learnings during the study trip. Format of the learning diary can be decided individually by student.
Qualifications
Sport business management studies in JAMK.
Minimum is sport business fundamentals module.
