Objective

The student is capable of realising a static website utilising valid HTML and CSS using a text editor.

Content

Basics of web technologies, such HTTP methods, HTML and CSS.

Lecturers slides and notes are available at the learning environment during the course.

Teaching methods

This course is arranged with face-to-face learning and as a online course. All the lecture recordings will be available online few hours after the actual lecture has completed

Completion alternatives

You have the right to apply for recognition of your studies if you have prior learning (e.g. university studies completed elsewhere) that can be accredited towards the degree you are currently completing.

The recognition of prior learning is possible in three primary ways: accreditation (replacement or inclusion), recognition of informal learning and studification. More precise info: JAMK Degree Regulations, section 17.

If you have knowledge about the contents of the course from hobbies, work experience or otherwise contact the course lecturer for recognition of prior/informal learning.

Student workload

Course has seven contact sessions, which are available online, which make up around 24 hours. The rest from 54 (so 30) are reserved for the course exercises and weekly tests.
