Objective
The students are able to figure out aurally the usual features of pop and jazz rhythm, structure, melody and harmony. They are able to realize them by singing and playing and to take dictation in them. The students command the main principles and practices in pop and jazz writing.
They recognize and can produce even and triplet based phrasing and notation, command syncopated rhythms and are able to use their body in rhythmic comprehension and assimilation.
The students possess the readiness for further development of their musical comprehension, motor-skills and coordination

The students recognize and can produce in proper style even and triple based phrasing and notation in the main time signatures, recognize and be able to produce tonal melody and harmony, to write down material listened to in a way that complies with the normally accepted notation practices, are capable of acquiring, handle and evaluate critically their acquired knowledge, assume responsibility for personal and group learning and follow given instructions
