Objective

The students possess the readiness for understanding and encountering different groups using music as a tool. They are familiar with guidance of different groups and are able to adapt their knowledge and skills in guiding situations. In addition to this they are experienced in interaction and are capable of guiding and organizing their activity with different groups (e.g. multicultural groups, the aged, children in kindergarten, special groups.)

Content

The applied use of music in working with different groups. The principles of special group guiding. Deepening, according to orientation, of the students' ability to work with groups of diverse cultures.

Pass (S)
The students are able to apply their knowledge and skills in planning and implementing musical activities for diverse groups. They are able to function interactively in teaching and practice groups, and to contribute to the wellbeing of the group. They are able to realize the differences among people in their work and to function in the web.

The students do not achieve the minimum requirements for passing the course

Qualifications

The students know the main teaching methods in their major field of study amd their corresponding teaching materials. They are capable of developing and adapt them. They are familiar with teaching and the work of a teacher. The students are well trained in teaching guiding and its evaluation in practical teaching, and are capable of working as members of a work group. They evaluate their own and that of others in a constructive and realistic way.
