Purpose of the course

After studying this course, you will be able to search for information on the development of new agricultural technology solutions and learn more about them. You will be able to assess their suitability for the production and utilisation of biomasses in Finnish operating environments.

New technological solutions for the creation of biomass-crops
New technological solutions for harvesting and storage of biomass-crops
Planning and implementation processes for technological investments using new technological opportunities
Planning and implementing a networking event related to the technological development needs of biommass production

Teaching methods

Studying at his course is based on various learning methods: contact lectures, an independent scheduled learning, a study trip, a business presentations, testing activities and promoting students' own assignments.

Student might choose to focus on his/her own AgriBusiness- plan with some of the technology related assignments.

Employer connections

This course includes business presentations and a study trip to a bioeconomy expo. This study trip is planned to be excursion to Germany and AgriTechnica-expo (self-funded) but you can replace this with your own event participation if you wish.

Exam schedules

No exam, grading is based on assignments.

Completion alternatives

The course or part of it can be completed on the basis of previous competence or by studying in working life.
