Objective
The student helps and counsels clients in everyday activities and indifferent operating environment.
The student acts ethically in different client situations. The student recognises factors impacting the client’s well-being, health and functional capacity as well as is able to promote the strengths and limitations of functional capacity. The student explores multi-professional working in social and health care operating environments.
Content
The student applies the previously studied theoretical subjects.
o Orientation in the ethical principles of client work and safe work methods
o Practising client encountering, interaction and counselling
o Counselling in the client’s everyday life and activities.
o Familiarisation with the operating environments and service systems of the professional field
o Familiarisation with the possibilities of multi-professional work
o Sharing of learning and reporting

Completion alternatives
Practical training in the operating environments of social and health care services’ clients so that the student meets the objectives of the course. Passed practical training and training report, participation in the practical training information event as well as the intermediate and final seminar.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Pass:
o The student is familiar with the working life rules and acts accordingly.
o The student helps and counsels clients in everyday activities and acts ethically when encountering clients.
o The student familiarises him/herself with the service system of the practical training place and, in the Workshop, familiarises him/herself with the other rehabilitation service systems, operating environments and operating practises.
o The student is able to name factors impacting the well-being and health of clients as well as means to promote them.
o The student familiarises him/herself with multi-professional specialist work in the social and health care field.
