The student knows the common field devices and basics in placing, installation, documentation and hookup materials of those devices. The student can choose and define field devices into basic processes.

Satisfactory (2): The student is familiar with the basic knowledge and terminology but more extensive field device engineering is challenging.
Adequate (1): The student identifies the basic knowledge and terminology but in the interpreting of the essential concepts the skills are still inadequate.
