Completion alternatives
The following items must be completed after the membership term:- Contribution of one's own sector to the action plan and annual report- Guidance discussions- Active participation in the meetings of the body/organ the student is a member of- Implementation of projects in one's own sector- Participation in the meetings workgroups- Active participation in the trainings provided by JAMKO or SAMOK- Essay/discussion on a book related to association activities- Report on the development of one's own competence- Learning diary/portfolio- Working time report - Reflective discussion on what the student has learnt.
Student workload
- Meetings of the student union representative body 10 h- Student union board meetings 0-40 h- Participation in the trainings provided bySAMOK (Union of Students in FinnishUniversities of Applies Sciences) and JAMKO 10-45 h- Implementation of projects in one's own sector 45-125 h- Participation in JAMK’s workgroup meetings 0-20 h- Production of texts and communication/marketing 10-30 h- Cross-evaluations 40 h- Participation in JAMKO’s teams 10-40 h- Participation in the board meetings of field-specific student associations 10-40 h- Participation in the trainings organised by trade unions’ student associations 0-15 h Total 135-405 h of student work.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
The study module is graded as Pass/Fail, marked as “S (Pass)” and “0 (Fail)”. In order pass the study module the student has to monitor his / hers working time and demonstrate th working time that matches the asked credit units (5-15 ects). In addittion to this the student must attend the JAMKO Akatemia schooling regularly. The student also provides a report paper and attends an ending discussion.
Qualifications
Minimum of one of the following elected memberships:
a) JAMKO’s Board or Representative Body
b) Board of a JAMK field-specific student association
c) JAMKO’s representative appointed by JAMKOs’ Board or Representative Body for a body/organ (JAMK, cross evaluation group, SAMOK, KOAS, etc.)
Approval of the course as part of the student’s personal study plan (HOPS).
