Objective

Object of the course:
The knowledge and skills you get on this course you will need in order to be able to know the different frame options and know how to determine the loads on structures and you are familiar with the key elements of structural design.
Course competences:
- Mathematic and Natural science competence
- Technological competence
The learning objectives of the course:
You will be able to determine the usual loads (own weight, payloads, natural loads), building frame systems (for example: steel, timber and reinforcement concrete frames) and you know how they operate. You know the most common types of body stiffening and you know how to apply these in different situations, you know the NR structures and the related characteristics in terms of design and installation. You know the regulations and guidelines on structural sound insulation and their application. You know the obligations and structural requirements for civil defense shelters. You are familiar with the description methods and drawing symbols used in architectural and construction design.
These are also the basic tasks of the course
