Objective

Purpose of the course

In this Study Course, you will deepen your skills in evidence-based nursing, nursing planning, implementation and evaluation, as well as independent decision-making in the nursing orientation option you have chosen. You will learn to act as an expert by utilizing multi-specialty. You have the information to critically evaluate and develop your own operations and operating environment, taking into account patient safety and ethical principles.

After completing this course, you will be able to base your decision-making based on evidence in your chosen nursing work in the area of ​​expertise. You can make independent, evidence-based decisions at different stages of the treatment chain.

You know how to apply problem-solving skills suitable for ethical situations.

You master the central clinical methods of your own area of ​​expertise.

Clinical nursing methods and in-depth knowledge of different disciplines in your chosen area of ​​expertise

Qualifications

160 credits, basic nursing studies completed

You will master the basic information, key concepts and methods of the customer base and operating environment in the social and health sector. You master the goals, principles and methods of nursing work that promotes health and functional ability, as well as customer-oriented nursing work. You know how to use evidence-based information in nursing decision-making. You have completed your basic studies and related internships before the start of the study period. You master the methods of clinical examination of the patient and assessment of the need for treatment. You have completed the basics of infectious diseases, pharmacology and medical studies. You have completed at least 160 credits before the start of your studies. This course is taken in the last semester of your studies.

You have highly developed and advanced knowledge of the development of your own area of ​​expertise, as well as a critical understanding of the theories and operating principles of your field and the ability to apply them. You know evidence-based decision-making based on the latest national and international data base. You can evaluate it critically and showing creative thinking. You know how to use information and communication technology in the acquisition, editing, production and transmission of information in your area of ​​expertise in a way that creates a new way of working.

You know how to develop your own field with your own skills and you know how to present them in ways relevant to working life. You can evaluate your own competence and acquired skills in a broad, critical and developmental way. You know how to make independent, evidence-based decisions at different stages of the care chain in an entrepreneurial manner, and you have internalized problem-solving skills suitable for patient safety and ethical situations. You have the ability to evaluate the knowledge base of your area of ​​expertise and your own activities and develop them critically and creatively. You master the central clinical methods of your own area of ​​expertise, utilizing and applying technology and the principles of sustainable development in nursing work.

You know how to work skillfully, customer-oriented and taking into account different cultural differences in multidisciplinary and possibly multicultural work groups.
