Content

- Basic concepts of digital video (use, definition and design, editing environments, hardware, software, picture ratio and resolution, distribution channels, formats, and compression methods)
- Video editing and publication in various formats (YouTube and particularly web formats)
- basics of analog and digital sound and editing
- dynamics and tone of sound in theory and practice
- sound file formats and publication for various purposes (particularly web formats)

Sufficient 1: You know the basics of video and audio editing and are able to publish a simple video to Internet.

Satisfactory 2: You know the basics of video and audio editing and are able to publish a video to Internet. The course assignment is documented according to the requirements but it is restricted.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good 3: You are familiar with the video and audio standards. You know how to edit and publish videos and audios for various purposes. The course assignment has been documented according to the requirements.

Very good 4: You master the video and audio standards and know how to edit video and audio versatilely. Additionally, you are able to implement impressive video clips for various purposes. The course assignment has been documented comprehensively.

Excellent 5: You master the video and audio standards extensively and know how to edit video and audio versatilely. You are able to implement impressive (including soundscape, layout, graphics, animation, fonts etc.) video clips for various purposes. The assignment has been documented (synopsis and process description of what and how it was implemented) extensively and flawlessly.
