Objective

The purpose of this course is to deepen your understanding about responsible tourism. You learn the current concepts, for example, regenerative and transformative tourism and how these new forms of tourism can have positive impacts to destination, companies and customers. You learn further how companies can enhance tourists’ responsible actions and thus increase positive and responsible effects.

Learning objectives
After this course you know how to create new ideas for tourism destinations and/or companies to improve their responsibility. You identify the current trends and phenomena related to the responsible tourism, and can evaluate the impact in the industry, destination and organization level. You understand the importance of the different organizations’ role in responsible tourism in relation to wellbeing of customers, host-communities and destinations. You know the basic logic of company’s footprint and customer’s handprint.
