Objective

The purpose of this course

Not one good software sells itself. All of them need marketing, and marketing needs knowledge. Marketing does not mean only creating ads and posting them, but a whole process of communication related to the product you create. Point of marketing actions are to make your product known and point the reasons for the customer to buy it. You can even create a reason for a customer to buy it. You will need to decide your target audience, to whom you want to aim your product and why. After that you need to think of marketing audience to reach this audience as efficiently as possible, decide the actions of marketing and measure how your marketing is working and if and how it is affecting sales.

Content

In the context of software and game product marketing you will learn how the marketing cycle works: You will define a target audience, think of marketing actions, measure the efficiency and operation of your marketing actions and then analyse the results. After result analyze you will make iterative improvements on your marketing actions and decide on the next steps in marketing of the product lifecycle.

To achieve this you will get familiar marketing tools related, different marketing platforms you can use and marketing actions done with these. You’ll learn to write a marketing pitch, marketing stories and a PR publication on how to rise the interest of the press and content creators.
