Objective

Course Purpose:

The aim of the "New Business Models" course is to provide both theoretical and practical learning about the challenges and opportunities in the business world. It prepares you to develop new initiatives through experiments and pilot projects. You'll understand the importance of continuous learning and innovation in the development of a company's business operations.

Course Competencies:

Working in the Workplace: You learn to construct experiments and pilots for quickly testing new ideas in practice. You can assess risks related to experiments.
Ethics: You understand ethical principles in experiments and piloting. You know how to act responsibly in client projects.
Sustainable Development: You can apply knowledge related to your field to search for, implement, and establish sustainable solutions and practices.
Course Learning Outcome:

In this course, you will learn to design and implement customer experiments and business development pilots. You'll learn to assess risks and opportunities related to experiments, including how to timely terminate unprofitable ones. You'll expand your thinking and generate new ideas using various creativity and innovation tools. You understand that new opportunities must be boldly sought from future studies and changes. You can share your expertise within a team. You learn to reflect on your competencies related to experiments and piloting through writing and dialogue with your team. You take responsibility for your own learning and actions.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

You have sufficient evidence of understanding the theory related to the competency area and are able to apply the theory in practice in the projects and operations of the team enterprise. You understand the significance of different roles in the development of the company and develop the team enterprise in cooperation with others. You are able to create clear plans and set realistic goals from both an operational and skill development perspective. You have set concrete goals for the development of your competency area and have demonstrated the ability to direct your actions according to these goals.

You have implemented projects that reflect the application of competency area theory into practice. The projects demonstrate your ability to apply what you have learned and bring theoretical knowledge into practical action as part of a team. Additionally, you are able to evaluate the achievement of your goals and your learning process through reflections, identifying both your strengths and areas for improvement.
