In this course you will familiarize yourself with the athlete-management relationship and its legal foundations.
You understand the key concepts and principles of contract formation. You learn to assess different contract types. You understand the logic and value of intellectual property rights as a revenue source.
Content
The course offers essential knowledge of different forms of managerial activities including various legal issues such as contracts, intellectual property rights, image rights, athlete brand development. The ethical code of conduct in sport will be highlighted including sustainable decision-making .

1,5 hour contact session twice a week lecture and in class activities per week for 14 times.

The primary mode of delivery is a combination of in-class activities on campus including both lectures and workshops.The in-class activities deepen the learning in the forms of tutorials, individual and group works, and a self-assessment of a student.

The course start in online mode (two weeks) in ZOOM webinar starting the second week of February. No teaching during week 9 ( winter break) and then course will continue as in class-teaching ending in mid May.
1,5 hour contact teaching in class and if necessary ZOOM/Panopto recordings will be used as well. The course will utilise Moodle workspace and it will be open on a week before the course start. All course materials and info are available there.

The course instructors will provide the topical research articles and relevant international sources of law.
