You are familiar with the processes related to guiding groups and you know how to promote group activities.
You develop your pedagogical skills and competences in guiding and managing a group.
You deepen your guidance and encounter skills by using functional methods.
You deepen and develop your creative musicianship and expand your creative expression and improvisation.
You develop inclusion and participation skills and become more aware of what these skills mean in practice.

You understand the importance of music education as an open, equal and lifelong learning opportunity for everyone.

Content

In the course, you get to know group pedagogy in adulthood and late adulthood.
You will get familiar and deepen your knowledge of guidance and inclusion and participation skills.
You know how to start and guide moments of music-making in and with a group.
In this course you will develop creative expression and improvisation.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Approved:
Active participation and attendance are required for the approved completion of the course.

Participation in the course is based on active attendance and participation in the course. The course learning tasks and peer assessment are graded on an Approved/Fail scale.
You know how to apply what you have learnt and you have practical tools for making music and guiding musical group activities to use in your work.
You have pedagogical skills and competences in guiding and managing a group.
You are able to express yourself musically through the use of body percussion and rhythm instruments, rhythmic exercises and vocal expression.
