Objective

In this course you learn how to expand your movement self-awareness, body awareness and movement language through creative movement and improvisation.
You will be introduced to embodied functional methods, and you deepen your ability to be present.
You understand how movement and dance are used to support self-expression, creativity and education.
You will be able to create movement-based learning situations and experiential productions in different communities.

Content

The main content of the course is creative movement, dance and improvisation.
During the course you will learn about body awareness and mindfulness work.
During the course you will learn about different relaxation, breathing, body awareness and imagery exercises.

Approved performance requires active participation and attendance in contact teaching.
You understand the importance of positive embodiment as part of human well-being.
You demonstrate courage in physical expression.
You have demonstrated through learning activities an understanding of the importance of mindfulness skills.
