Objective

The aim of the course is to develop professional competence and expertise in the field of cultural well-being. In the course you deepen your understanding of the importance of culture and art as support for well-being. You know and understand the personal relationship with culture and the arts as the basis of the needs of communities and individuals. You develop new customer-oriented approaches and know how to create different forms of cooperation. You participate in an event or project that promotes cultural well-being; for example, the Näppärikurssi or similar.

Content

The operating culture of different groups and the principles of inclusion and participation and guidance.
In the course you will learn how to analyse, evaluate and develop professional competence in the field of cultural well-being.
You will become aware of the importance of cultural well-being in a wide range from current social and research-based perspectives on well-being.
You will be familiar with the key concepts, values and development tasks in the field of cultural well-being.
You know and understand the personal relationship with culture and the arts as the basis of the needs of communities and individuals.
You develop new customer-oriented approaches and know how to create different forms of cooperation.
You will plan and design a multidisciplinary cultural well-being project, based on a work-life needs and participatory approach, using inclusion and participation skills. In this course, you will develop reflective skills individually and together.
You will get to know and participate in a communal and inclusive music event, where you will meet music hobbyists of different levels and ages, music teachers, students, musicians, and music hobbyists with special needs.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Approved:
Active participation and attendance are required for the approved completion of the course.

You are able to implement and evaluate a work-life development project and act as a member of a project team.

During the course, you will reflect on your own learning through a learning diary. At the end of the course, you will write a summary of your diary and an evaluation of how well you have achieved the course objectives.The summary of the learning diary will be taken into account in the assessment decision.

You are active and participate in a communal music event, in which, for example, you are supporting younger musicians or those with special needs.
