Objective

You will gain an understanding of the different aspects of electrical power engineering and learn more in-depth about the calculation of connected 3-phase circuits.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
You will be familiar with the basic calculation of connected 3-phase circuits and have a good understanding of electrical power. You are familiar with the different aspects of electrical power engineering. During the course you will gain an understanding of what energy efficient motors are, how to reduce power losses and how to design lighting systems that save energy and improve lighting quality.

ENGINEERING PRACTICE
You understand the impact of reactive power and surges in an electric power system. You know how to measure the basic parameters of the power system. You will also be familiar with measurements related to power and lighting quality. You will be able to use mathematical methods and tools to describe phenomena and solve problems in the field.
