Objective
Main objectives for this course are acquiring fundamentals in programming and learning to develop programs according to good practices. This course enables further studies of the subject in other courses.
EUR-ACE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
Student is familiar with general principles related to programming such as variable definitions, various control and selection structures/statements, and the use of subroutines.
EUR-ACE APPLYING TECHNOLOGY INTO PRACTICE
Student is able to analyze simple problems and present solutions using programming language. Student is able to take advantage of the development environment and look for information for problem solving.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Sufficient (1): Student identifies the basic structures in programming. Student is able to analyze simple issues, but designing solutions independently is challenging. Writing a program is difficult.
Satisfactory (2): Student knows the key basic structures and principles in programming. Student is able to analyze simple issues, design an implementation using existing models and present a rudimentary solution in programming language.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
Good (3): Student knows the key principles and tools in programming. Student is able to analyze problems, design an implementation based on examples and present a solution using programming language. Student is able to evaluate and develop their skills.
Very good (4): Student knows the key principles in programming and is able to make effective use of software development tools. Student is able to independently analyze problems, design implementation and present a solution using programming language.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
Excellent (5): Student masters the key principles and tools in programming. Student is able to independently analyze demanding problems, design creative solutions and implement a solution using programming language.
