Objective
Course is an important part of the basic studies related to Physical Education and Physiotherapy.
As a participant of this course, you will concern yourself to the Anatomy of a healthy human body as well as to the basic components of Functional principles.
When you have passed this course, you`ll understand how the healthy human body acts during different movements and you will be equipped with tools that you will need in the later phases of your studies as well as in the working life.
Learning outcomes:
Student understands the structure of the locomotive system and the implementation of movements. Student can independently assess functions of joints and muscles during movements.
Content
Anatomy:
Anatomical terminology, Structure and basic function of the Locomotive system:
Osteology, arthrology and myology of the following body parts: skull, spine, thorax, upper limb, pelvis, lower limb.
Kinesiology of the neuromuscular system:
Functions and innervations of the muscles moving different body parts. Mechanical & neurological aspects of muscular activity - neuromuscular junctions and musclefibers as well as perpheral innervation of the muscles.
and basics movement mechanics and force production.
Biomechanics:
Muscle activation and types of contraction, Postural control and evaluation of basic movements (walking, lifting etc...)
