Objective

Upon completion of this course you will be able to
- critically analyze the relevant aspects of strategic management theory and practice as they relate to the management of sport organizations
- identify and analyze complex management problems in sport organization and provide solutions to them
- evaluate the strategic management process, different types of strategies and the role of performance measurement for sport businesses
- investigate the skills and knowledge applicable to the process of planning the future of an organization, with a focus on key concepts of strategic planning, strategy formulation, ethical and environmental analysis, strategy implementation and measurement

Teaching methods

The course is an on-campus entity and requires attendance in physical lectures, workshops and other study activities. On-campus studies are organized as an intensive 3-day period. If a student cannot attend physically on-campus, they should refer to the lecturer in charge to see if it is possible to undertake the course.
