Objective

Purpose of the course

In recent decades, responsibility has become one of the most important factors guiding companies' operations. A responsible company takes into account the impacts of its own operations on society and the environment as well as their impact on the company's operations. Responsibility must be visible in all operations, from the procurement of raw materials to the recycling and reuse of own products. In order to meet the requirements of sustainability, you need to know your supply chain thoroughly. When the entire supply chain is well known, it is also known and identified where there are risks or where operations can be improved or developed.

Learning outcomes of the course

You know the different areas of responsibility and recognise the impacts of different functions in the supply chain on responsibility and their impact on operations. You are able to apply the principles of responsibility to your own operating environment and look for suitable solutions and operating models. You are aware of the regulation related to responsibility and its impact on your own organisation. You will learn how to develop supply chain responsibility in complex networks. You are able to motivate and commit different parties in the supply chain to responsibility. You will be able to find the essential indicators for measuring sustainability throughout the supply chain. You will learn to take responsibility into account in supply chain planning. You are able to report and communicate on responsibility issues transparently.
