Objective

Students understand the bioeconomy as part of a global world economy and its implications for their own operating environment. They understand the main international and local trends as well as key strategic policies and the drivers of bioeconomy from the chosen subject area of the bioeconomy. They understand the bioeconomy at local, regional and global dimension, and are able to apply the knowledge in their professional activities.

- Regional, national, European and global strategies for bieconomy,, statements, recommendations and other drivers related to bioeconomy
- Innnovations in bioeconomy sector
- Domestic and international trends

Exam 50%, assignments 50%

The student:
- Is familiar with some key drivers and trends in bioeconomy sector

Satisfactory learner (2)
In addition to the above the student:
- Manages a number of key bi-economy strategies and knows their backgrounds
- Know some of the key new innovations in the bioeconomy

Good learner (3)
In addition to the above the student:
- Is familiar with the key strategies for the bioeconomy broadly and is able to assess their importance and limitations
- Knows a number of key innovations in the bioeconomy

Very good learner (4)
In addition to the above the student:
- Masters the main bioeconomy strategies widely and is able to assess their importance and limitations
- Is able to evaluate the significance innovation, opportunities and constraints of bioeconomy
