Student knows the related legislation, and health care and social services sector programmes and guidelines. Student understands the nurses role in multidisciplinary teams and networks. Social and health care services as a part of the dynamic society and the factors affecting the services globally
Relevant legislation in Finland (Social welfare act, Healthcare act, Social and healthcare services organization act), health care and social services sector programmes and guidelines.
Cross-border social and healthcare in EU
Content, organization, production, financing, counseling, decision-making and recommendations of social and healthcare services
Cultural and technological possibilities in organization and production of social and health services (E-services, mobile and home services, and technological services promoting welfare)

Pass:
The student knows the key health care and social services, information systems and their organization in the community. Student recognizes the factors that affect changes in the health care and social services sector in different countries. Student knows the related Finnish legislation, and understands the key health care and social services sector programmes and guidelines. Student understands the nurses role in multidisciplinary teams and networks.
