Qualifications

o Applies to degree students

The student must have basic knowledge of operating systems, data networks and programming.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Excellent 5: The student knows the most common technologies in IoT systems and is able to justify critically the implementation of the used technologies in various operating environments. He/she is able to validate critically and select the correct technologies for the design of a value chain based on requirement specifications. The student is also able to apply his/her technological knowledge into practice. Additionally, the student is able to assess critically his/her own implementation and based on this, validate its development.

Very good 4: The student knows the most commonly used technologies in IoT systems and is able to justify the implementation of used technologies in various operating environments. He/she is able to validate and select the correct technologies for the design of a value chain based on requirement specifications. The student is able to apply his/her technological knowledge into practice. Additionally, the student is able to assess his/her own implementation extensively and validate its development.

Good 3: The student knows the most commonly used technologies in IoT systems and is able to justify the implementation of the used technologies in certain operating environments. He/she is able to validate and select the correct technologies in a simple design of a value chain based on requirement specifications. The student is able to apply his/her technological knowledge into practice. Additionally, the student is able to assess, using versatile points of view, his/her own implementation and validate its development.

Satisfactory 2: The student knows the most commonly used technologies in IoT systems and is able to justify the implementation of the used technologies in simple operating environments. He/she is able to select the applicable technologies in a simple design of a value chain based on requirement specifications. The student is able to apply his/her technological knowledge into practice. Additionally, the student can assess his/her own implementation superficially.

Sufficient 1: The student knows the most commonly used technologies in IoT systems and is able to superficially validate the implementation of the used technologies in a simple operating environment. He/she is able to design a simple value chain and apply his/her technological knowledge into practice. Additionally, the student is able to assess his/her own implementation in a constricted way.

Fail 0: The student does not meet the minimum criteria set for course.
