Objective

The student can independently plan, implement and assess the care for the mother, family and newborn as well as guidance tailored to the family that meets their values and respects their right to decide. He/she supports the mother’s and father’s confidence in growing into parenthood, early interaction, successful breastfeeding and taking care of the child. The student is able to anticipate, identify and react to changes in the condition of the mother, newborn and family. The student is able to implement safe medical care and vaccinate safely. The student develops professionally, acts constructively and takes part in developing the activities of the work community.

The student:

Recognises matters that are difficult and sensitive and is capable of addressing them with the client
Is able to act in a resource-oriented manner to promote sexual and reproductive health and early interaction

Midwife as a promoter of sexual and reproductive health and a clinical expert
The student:
Recognises the care pathways related to the promotion of sexual and reproductive health
Is able to show initiative and work independently and responsibly within the limits of his/her knowledge and skills, taking account of the stage of his/her studies
