• Culturally sensitive counselling and work orientation
• Legislation and immigration services

Content

• Immigration and refugee policy in Finland: Emigration from Finland, immigration to Finland
• Global immigration and current issues in asylum seeker´s process
• Immigration, asylum seekers and multicultural work
• Integration and acculturation process to a new country and to a new culture
• The meaning of culture and identity in integration process
• Culturally conscious worker: Preventing the process of prejudice and racism, interaction between people from different cultures
• Integration services, integration legislation

Qualifications

The students master the main features of nordic welfare policy and the finnish social security system.
