Objective

The student understands the significance of installation-technical considerations in electrical engineering and knows the various installation methods, area classifications, installation standards and relevant regulations. The student knows also the requirements of installation supervision and inspections and the issues to be considered in commissioning and testing. The student is able to draft electrical specifications and contract documents.

TSASO - Design competence

The student knows the methods and tools of hardware and software design in building electrification engineering and
is able to dimension and select machines and components using techno-economic principles. The student is also able to produce standardized documentation
and understands the importance of standards and is able to apply them in every design phase of the building electrification engineering.

TSASV - Competence in electric power systems

The student has the knowledge of the general network of electricity distribution and buildings’ electrical network.
Student is able to size the components for buildings’ electrical network.

EA-EE: Engineering design

The student has an understanding of design methods in building electrification engineering and an ability to use them in a project work.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Excellent (5): The student masters the essential knowledge of building electrification engineering and can apply the knowledge to the project work acquired in a creative and innovative manner.

Very good (4): The student masters the essential knowledge of building electrification engineering and can apply the knowledge to the project work.

Good (3): The student knows the issues to be taken into consideration in building electrification engineering and is
is able to design documentation in an engineering design project.

Satisfactory (2): The student is familiar with the basic knowledge and terminology of building electrification engineering but in the application of the engineering design project the skills are still inadequate.

Adequate (1): The student identifies the basic knowledge and terminology of building electrification engineering but in the interpreting of the engineering design project the skills are still inadequate.
