Objective

The students know the basic concepts of the energy sector and the basics of energy production in the rural areas. They can determine the amount of energy needed for the production of warm water and the heating of premises of a real farm, and they can select suitable solid biomass heating equipment for energy production. They know and can recognize the energy consumption structure of different farms, as well as opportunities to save energy. They can determine the bulk density and the moisture and energy content of solid biomasses according to the standards.

Content

- energy consumption on farms
- active energy saving
- storage of solid biofuels
- bioenergy heating systems
- auxiliary energy systems
- properties of solid biofuels

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Adequate learner (1) knows the opportunities for the utilization of bioenergy on farms and the basic concepts of the energy sector and the basics of energy production

Satisfactory learner (2), in addition to the aforementioned, can identify the targets of energy consumption on farms and opportunities to save energy

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good learner (3), in addition to the aforementioned, can define the properties of solid biofuels and the amount of energy needed for the heating of water and premises

Very good learner (4), in addition to the aforementioned, can estimate the impact of biofuel quality on the usability of the heating system

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Excellent learner (5), in addition to the aforementioned, can determine the development targets and options for energy production on a farm
