Objective

The student understands the basics of the use of operation amplifiers and the principles of scaling sensor signal. The student is able to apply their learning to practical design.

Content

The course includes design and sizing of passive low pass filter, and the use of transistor as a switch and scaling of a signal with an operational amplifier.

Qualifications

Electrical Engineering

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Excellent 5: The student is able to design the basic electronics for a complete electronic device including feedback and develop it further.

Very good 4: In addition to the aforementioned, the student is able to design, analyze and scale an analog sensor signal to an analog-to-digital converter.

Very good 3: The student is able to design and measure the operating voltage of an electronic device. The topics mentioned earlier must also be mastered.

Satisfactory 2: The student understands the basic electronic requirements to control an actuator and is able to design a simple transistor as a switch.

Sufficient 1: The student knows the basics of filtering an analog signal and is able to demonstrate the skills in a course assignment and an exam. Applying the knowledge into practice causes difficulties.

Fail 0: The student does not meet the minimum criteria set for the course.
